Vulcanexus partners join hands as Cyberbotics includes the ROSbot 2R by Husarion into its simulation software, Webots.
Webots is an open-source robot simulator developed by Cyberbotics and available on Linux, Windows, and macOS. It is used in industry, education, and research. Vulcanexus includes this simulation software to help users design, test, simulate and share robotics scenarios easily.
In its most recent release, R2023a, Webots now includes the ROSbot 2R by Husarion alongside the extensive range of robots, objects, and materials already available on the platform. This autonomous, four-wheeled mobile robot platform is based on ROS and an ARM64 processor. The set of tutorials, manuals, Docker images together with its capabilities of mapping, navigation, monitoring, and similar behaviors, make it a great choice for autonomous vehicles research and education.
Husarion and Cyberbotics are official partners of Vulcanexus, and the ROSbot is the official reference platform of the ROS 2 all-in-one tool set.
The possibilities to create use cases in the simulated world and transform them into physical truth are endless with the Vulcanexus ecosystem.
For more information also visit the official ROSbot documentation provided by Webots.
Want to test ROSbot 2R in Webots quickly? Visit this tutorial where the robot is used to create a map of the unknown environment by using a SLAM Toolbox.
