Exposing Topic Keys in Vulcanexus revolutionizes robotic systems' efficiency and scalability by streamlining communication and resource utilization, reducing overhead, and enhancing data distribution.
Imagine a scenario where multiple robots are sending their positions to a central control node. These robots have multiple topics per robot, resulting in complex architectures and scalability issues.
Thanks to Vulcanexus Keys, it is now possible to have a single topic where each robot sends status with a unique key (robot ID) that identifies it.

Robotic systems are in need of modularity. Traditional topics allow a free message exchange, while Topic Keys adds organizational logic to this process. We wanted to enhance systems modeling by facilitating the continuous exchange of updates of object states.
Vulcanexus leverages Fast DDS middleware and has designed topics to serve as communication channels with Topic Keys adding organizational logic to message exchange.
Each message in a keyed topic is associated with a topic instance identified by a unique key, streamlining resource management and facilitating a more efficient data distribution.
