What is Vulcanexus? What has Vulcanexus to do with ROS 2? How do the Vulcanexus components work? And are there any Vulcanexus examples?
These are just a few very reasonable questions and the answers are found here...
Vulcanexus is an open-source software stack for the development of robotic applications. It offers a variety of libraries and tools for easy and personalized configuration of robotic projects. Vulcanexus is an All-in-One ROS 2 tool set that guarantees a fixed DDS middleware, Fast DDS, and includes selected components for microcontroller integration, cloud/edge communication, performance monitoring, and robot simulation.
Answers to many more questions can be found in the Vulcanexus FAQs section within the menu Support. If your questions have not been included, do not hesitate to contact the Vulcanexus team, by writing to
Vulcanexus offers very comprehensive documentation. Users can find everything from installation manuals to complete descriptions of all V-components like ROS 2, the Fast DDS middleware, the ROS 2 Router, micro-ROS etc.
The information material does not stop here. Vulcanexus made a great effort to include high-quality and handy tutorials for each component. Whether users need a step-by-step guide on how to configure the QoS settings of Fast DDS or how to create custom transports in micro-ROS, the tutorial section provides that information and more.
The tutorial section will be updated constantly, so check for updates!
Vulcanexus also started its own YouTube channel. Videos include general-purpose clips but also tutorials like for example how to monitor ROS 2 performance with Vulcanexus. Furthermore, the Vulcanexus YouTube channel publishes all ROS 2 AI Integration Working Groups recordings. These working group meetings are free to join for everyone and discuss Machine Learning technologies for ROS 2 and the application of Artificial Intelligence to use cases in the Vulcanexus framework.
